CSIS Report:  Pacific Partners

In 2011, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) published a report titled “Pacific Partners: The Future of U.S.-New Zealand Relations.”


The report noted that the United States and New Zealand share “fundamental values and overwhelming common interests.”  Both nations seek an Asia-Pacific region that can prosper in a positive and peaceful environment.The CSIS report identifies essential elements for a new US-NZ partnership.  It presents 26 recommendations for the public and private sectors – in such areas as political and security cooperation, trade and investment, science and technology, education, culture, and trans-national issues.
